Ruszin Healthcare Education Group was founded in 2002. Our founder Susan Ruszin has been teaching AHA and ENA courses for over 15 years throughout the community. It was Susan's goal to have all healthcare professionals trained to give the best possible care to our customers. Susan feels that learning can be fun and stress free. This is the atmosphere that we try to provide in all of our courses. We offer a wide selection of courses to choose from and will continue to expand our course selection to meet the needs of the students.
RHEG provides contact hours for all programs through the Florida State Board of Nursing, provider #NCE3938. We are a certified Training Center for the American Heart Association. All ACLS, PALS, and BLS courses are approved by the AHA. Some programs provide credit through the Emergency Nurses Association.
Our faculty consists of nurses, doctors and paramedics who are experts in their fields. They all share our commitment to "Stress Free" training and have clinical, as well as educational expertise in their fields. In addition, all educators strive for excellence by continuing to practice in the clinical setting at various hospitals, EMS services, and other healthcare facilities in the Tampa Bay area.
We offer courses at our state of the art education center in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Our location is minutes from Tampa off I-75 and includes a comfortable classroom, multiple skills station rooms, and an online testing center.
We offer an attractive discount policy on most courses, starting with groups as small as six people. Courses may be offered at our education center or on-site at your location. We realize convenience is important, therefore, all courses can be presented at your location any time, days, evenings or weekends, in a fun relaxed atmosphere.
Ruszin Healthcare Education Group can handle all of your certification needs for ACLS, Advanced Airway, AED, CPR, EKG and Arrhythmia Interpretation, First Aid, NRP, PALS, and more! All classes are designed to meet local and national standards for certification. Along with being a continuing education provider for the state of Florida, we are a regional training center for the American Heart Association, and are certified to instruct most nationally recognized continuing education courses. We also offer a variety of dynamic, individualized continuing education seminars and lectures. We are dedicated to quality consulting and training and strive to make participants feel comfortable. Susan Ruszin, RN, BSN, CEN, CCRN
Susan has been a registered nurse taking care of all age patients for the last 38 years. She graduated from the University of Akron in 1975 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She has been a bedside nurse throughout her nursing career working in the ICU, CCU, Cardiac Surgery Units. She also has practiced in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department settings. Susan has been a BLS Instructor since 1985, and ACLS instructor since 1986 and a PALS Instructor since 1989. She has attained and maintained Regional Faculty status for American Heart Association. Susan holds national certifications in her specialty areas of care. Susan continues to care for patients in the clinical setting. She feels that the best teachers are those that are current with bedside practices.
Patty Buzze, RN, EMT-P
Patty is a Paramedic/Registered Nurse with over 15 years of pre-hospital and emergency department experience. She has worked as a paramedic for a large county fire rescue service for over 5 years and have been working as a RN since 1997 exclusively in a large Florida State-Approved Pediatric Trauma Referral Center (SAPTRC). Patty is currently a member of FL-3 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and is pursuing a bachelor degree in Emergency & Disaster Management. Ms. Buzze has provided emergent and disaster health care in many austere environments such as Haiti, equatorial South America, and Gulfport and Biloxi, MS immediately after Hurricane Katrina.

Nina Smith, RN, EMT-P
Nina is a registered nurse and paramedic with over 20 years in emergency and critical care medicine and is currently working in a cardiovascular open heart recovery unit. Nina has a strong passion for quality education that impacts the overall care we deliver to our patients. Nina has been teaching with Sue and Patty for the last three years. Her ultimate goal is to make a difference in the care that is delivered to our patients by promoting high quality education with an advanced knowledge base.
Christopher Cory Jarriel, EMT-P
Cory is a practicing paramedic with a large county fire rescue service and provides a very strong prehospital focus to our courses. He has been actively teaching with Ruszin Healthcare Education Group since 2008.
